How to Enter:
Follow the following steps to enter Cooler Master 2009 Modding Contest:
| 1. | Register an account on CM Forum and here. |
| 2. | Before you begin your modding, you must take one (1) or more pictures of all the components you will be using. Please make sure all components are recognizable (this is required for us to verify that you meet the qualifying requirements). |
| 3. | You must post the above image(s) on the CM Forum, under "Modding & Overclocking", as the start of your mod progress. Each modder is required to create his/her own mod progress thread in the CM Forum under "Modding & Overclocking" (this is required for us to verify your work; please start a new thread even if you have posted information regarding your mod before). |
| 4. | Post images and comments of your mod progress on the thread you created in Step 3. |
| 4(a). | For those who are entering with a completed or 'on progress' mod:
- You must be able to provide a full worklog with images and comments (from start to finish of your modding work) on the CM Forum.
- Your mod must NOT be older than 2009.
- Your mod was NEVER entered into any Cooler Master's contest prior to this.

| 5. | When you have completed your mod, submit your entry here before the submission deadline (September 20, 2009). Submission is available starting mid July, 2009. The following will be required during your mod entry submission:
- Your mod entry title
- Simple description of your mod entry
- One (1) picture with the following:
- Your mod entry
- You along with visible writing of "CM 2009 Modding Contest" and your mod entry title
- One (1) picture of your final mod entry (preferably 500 x 500 pixels in .jpg file format).
- Choose one (1) category that you want to submit your mod under (Full Tower, Mid Tower, or Unique)

| 6. | Anyone who does not agree to this contest's terms & conditions or entry that did not satisfy ALL the rules stated on this page will be automatically disqualified. |

Category & Winning:
There will be 3 categories for Cooler Master 2009 Modding Contest:
- Full Tower
- Mid Tower
- Unique
Four (4) winners will be chosen from each category.
We will have a total of three (3) Grand prize winner, one (1) from each category; nine (9) Runner ups for our "Best of" prizes, three (3) from each category:
- Persons with most votes in "Full Tower", "Mid Tower", and "Unique" categories will win our grand prizes.
- Three (3) runner ups from each category will receive our prizes for "Best of".
At the end of the contest, special prizes will be given out to random participants who registered on CM Forum, here, and voted (some winners will be randomly picked by our special sponsors).

Requirements:
For "Full Tower" & "Mid Tower" categories, the only requirement is that you use a Cooler Master Case.
For "Unique" category:
- The case you use could be built from any material you like (so if you would like to make a case out of a teapot, go for it!).
- If you choose to use a prefabricated case, please use the following guide lines below:
- No display of any manufactures logo.
- Final product must not be recognizable compared to its original design.
- You would need to use at least 5 Cooler Master components:
- i.e. Power supplies, hard drive trays, fans, heat sink, and case accessories including side panels or any cooler master spare parts excluding screws or thermal paste.
- At least 2 of the 5 CM components must be of different type (i.e. 4 fans, 1 heatsink).

Special Instructions:
If you are entering the contest as a group:
- You must keep only one worklog on the CM Forum.
- Please use one CM Forum Account Screen name throughout the entire contest to avoid confusion.
- All prize packages are the same regardless of individual or group entry.
If you plan to do self promotion of your mod:
- Absolutely no benefits can be involved for either you or any voter.
- Your promotion cannot be too extensive to a point that it bothers/annoys other CM Forum members.
If you plan to use sponsored components for your mod:
- All modding work must be done by you, not the sponsors.
- You cannot do any advertising for the sponsors or any product in your worklog (i.e. posting links to online ecommerce sites for the product).

Voting:
Voting will be carried out here.
Three (3) voting polls (one (1) for each category) will be set up here on October 1, 2009.
You must register on CM Forum and here in order to qualify for voting.
You are allowed to vote once per category (three (3) total possible votes, one (1) for each category).
The judging criteria should be as followed:
- Complexity of Mod
- Design
- Overall Look
- Innovativeness
