Looking
at the graphs, the Tuniq Tower 120 and the Thermalright Ultra 120 both
seem to edge out the CM Sphere. That is until you look at all the
factors. The
Tuniq
Tower
is loud for a heatsink of this class and style, and the Thermalright option, while being quieter than the
Tuniq
Tower
is incredibly large. While the Coolermaster Sphere may not be
the best heatsink for those who would overclock it does have something
that both the Tuniq and the Ultra-120 lack, style and originality.

The CM Sphere is a great heatsink
for those who are just after something better looking and more
effective than stock cooling fan that comes with their CPU. It looks great, is fairly quiet, and not that large compared to a lot of other heatsinks. Installation is moderately easy, and it adds style to the inside of the case without sacrificing function.
Pros:
1. Looks great. The design is eye-catching and the blue lighting is very nice.
2. Nearly silent, operation at about 18 decibels.
3. While not effortless, the mounting system is virtually fool-proof.
4. Will fit in all but the tiniest of cases.

 OCIA - Approved

As
usual, Cooler Master has designed a good product that meets the needs
of general users and computer enthusiasts alike. The Sphere is a very
solid cooler, with sturdy copper fins firmly attached to the heat pipes
and a radial fan mounted in the center. The motherboard
bracket securely attaches the cooler to the motherboard, albeit in a
somewhat unusual and slightly difficult-to-be-installed manner. Once in
place however, the Sphere operates quietly and efficiently, keeping
even such a heat generator as the over clocked 6400+ under control. The
all-copper construction looks good and the top cap and LED
' s add that finishing touch.
There really aren
' t any cons to the Sphere. Low cost
and decent performance add up to a bargain for all but the most
demanding of users. The Cooler Master Sphere has been awarded the
OCIA.net Seal of Approval.
