Overall, I was very pleased with the Cooler Master Cosmos-S chassis. I have always liked the look of the Cosmos, and really only ran into a few concerns with the airflow being the biggest issue. The Cosmos-S alleviates that issue completely while still keeping the stylish designs. The unique touch sensitive power button, and back lit panel gives the control area of the Cosmos-S a sleek look. The hard drive mounting in the Cosmos-S is much more flexible, and configurable for the most part, besides the fact that you're able to purchase additional cages and install them without any issues.

"WOW!! That is what I have to say about the
Cooler Master Cosmos S! It is massive, and beautiful. Cooler Master
took great care in all the details with this one. From the packaging to
the insides everything was taken into account. The included cooling works
well, but this thing is laid out for maximum air possibilities, or interal water
cooling. The hard drive cage gives you four drive spaces in three
bays. The front IO panel has every connection that you could need,
until USB 3.0 comes out, but even then I bet an upgrade will be released.
The Race styling and unique power button add to the style. Being so
large, you can place anything you want in here with room to spare."

"I was very happy with the results of the windowed side panel and the lighting.
The additions to cooling the case are going to have to be rethought out but did
increase the airflow greatly."

"A lot of people have called this the best gaming PC case, I moved all of my
gaming pc components over into the Cosmos S to test to see if those people were
correct. After living with is for a few weeks, taking it to a lan 5 hours away,
and playing around with the case a little, I would agree…"

have used to date. I have to give Cooler Master a big thumbs up, in what they
supplied here with the Cosmos S."

I was expecting huge things from this
case when I first learned we'd be reviewing it. Not only does this
case meet my expectations, it exceeds them in almost all areas,
something that's not easy to do. This is hands-down the most
impressive case I've ever seen, and I've seen a few. The construcstion
and materials are superb, the visual appeal is outstanding, there are
loads of awesome features, and everything works as advertised or
better. Aside from a couple of parts that will have to be upgraded for
some, there is nothing to complain about. Let's hit the list.
Pros:
- Rock-solid construction and top quality materials.
- Huge! You can fit anyting inside.
- Case is visually stunning, all the elements flow together perfectly.
- Modifying the hardware is a snap.
- Tons of fan mounts to provide excellent air flow.
- 200mm side panel fan is a nice addition, and silent to boot.
- The touch sensitive power button is extremely cool.
- Illuminated top panel ports are very helpful.
- Filtration on all intake fans to keep your hardware clean and healthy.
- Bottom mounted PSU with acoustic dampening foam is a big plus.
- Wire management system and parts help keep the air flowing and cables hidden.
- Toolless features are among the best in the industry.
- Handles are built in to allow easy movement of the system.

The Cooler Master Cosmos S is an awesome case. There are many things I like about the Cosmos, but generally speaking, it
'
s probably the overall adaptability to the user
'
s individual needs. Like how the front drive bays go all the way from
top to bottom and each one is available externally. If the user wants
to put their hard drives at the top and the media drives at the bottom
they can do that. There
's plenty of room to install
additional fans up front or even the top or bottom of the case if more
cooling is needed. Top fans can be mounted inside or outside the case,
allowing room to hook up a single, dual or triple sized radiator for
water cooling. The included fans are all very quiet, even running at
full speed.

It
has been a pleasure working with this case. If your purchasing criteria
is a light weight case with ample air flow and options for water
cooling installation, this case is worth serious consideration. Cooler
Master has always produced high quality parts for the enthusiast, and
the Cosmos S is no exception, the build quality is superb and the
roominess inside makes it easy to work in. The exterior design is
smooth and stylish, though the bars at the top and bottom are more
eclectic than your standard fair, they do add a certain pizzazz to the
overall appearance while also providing some key functionality. It is
hard to find negatives about this case.
Pros
- Excellent air flow and cooling
- Light weight (for a full tower)
- Ample room and excellent cable management systems
- Easy access and unique ‘off the floor’ design
- Plenty of options for good cable management.
- Stylish

The Cooler Master
Cosmos S full tower case is definitely one of a kind. The first thing
that caught my eye was that it looked like a hot sports car, thanks in
part to the stylized meshed side panel that conceals a 200mm fan.
Cooler Master really included many new features that I would expect to
become a standard with high end computer cases, like the very cool
touch sensor that replaced the standard power button. When building a
high end computer system many user's focus on the internal components
and not on the case, but with the Cosmos S arriving in March, the case
should become a high priority.
Pros:
» Lots of interior room
» A ton of positions for 120mm fans
» Stylish exterior
» Top panel connections in perfect position
» Tool-less mechanisms for 5.25" devices
» Includes three 120mm fans, and one 200mm fan

For
me, silence is all important. I am willing to accept higher
temperatures, less style and less functionality as long as my computer
is a quiet as possible. I not only use PC for gaming, I also enjoy
listening to music and I do most of my work on it as well. The droning
of multiple fans just turns me right off. On that note, I do score the
COSMOS quite high. When set up and used out of the box with the
included fans, it met all my expectations. There is also room for
upgrading and further customizing. Job well done here.
I
am also an avid enthusiast and overclocker. Again, airflow and size
play a huge role in selecting a case when these factors are taken into
consideration. Cooler Master did well to address out needs here. Having
the ability to internally mount a triple radiation is quite a feature.
There are even holes in the rear with runner grommets for another
external radiator. I also very much liked the bottom intakes,
especially with the filters. Another job well done.
Pros
Open and airy
Well-thought-out cable control measures
Ability to fit any cooling solution
Lightweight Aluminum Construction
Priced very competitively

With
the RC-1100 Cosmos S, Cooler Master has taken an already well-designed
and award-winning chassis, the Cosmos 1000, and successfully pushed it
to the next level. Some of the highlights include it being a very roomy
chassis, effective cable management possibilities, aluminum
construction, support for water cooling systems, and a touch-sensitive
power switch. This "Sports" case is targeted at computer enthusiasts and gamers alike. We
'
re pleased with the improvements made to the Cooler Master Cosmos S.
Like the Cosmos 1000, the Cosmos S has also been awarded the Phoronix Editor

The Cooler Master Cosmos S Case is mostly aluminum
except for a few plastic parts. Despite this it’s still fairly heavy
but this is due to its large size. It comes in a gunmetal gray color
with black brushed aluminum side panels. This color combo looks very
sharp and should match most home/office setups. This case has great
styling and build quality, excellent air circulation, lots of room to
work, plenty of drive bays, and much more. This is one of the top cases
on the market.

Cooler
Master certainly out did themselves when they redesigned the Cosmos
full-tower enclosure. The new black and gunmetal gray color scheme
with sleek curves and futuristic styling borrows queues from both race
cars and starships. The overall size and look is retained from the
original Cosmos 1000 but numerous styling changes have been implemented
on all sides and the Cosmos S is noticeably lighter thanks to a new
aluminum chassis.
Along with the enhanced styling Cooler Master has made several changes
to the cooling system, which now features a large 200mm side intake fan
along with three internal 120mm case fans. A new 4-in-3 HDD cage
provides active cooling for up to four 3.5” internal HDDs but it’s not
particularly user friendly. And if the stock configuration doesn’t
provide enough airflow for your new gaming system build, you can easily
add up to three more fans and/or a water-cooling radiator.
The top mounted I/O panel is essentially the same as the one found on
the original Cosmos but is now complimented by a touch-sensitive On-Off
button built into the sleek front bezel along with back lighted
lettering.
Strengths:
• AWESOME styling – ready for light-speed
• Enhanced case cooling
• Removable top panel (along with both side panels)
• Convenient front I/O panel with touch-sensitive On-Off switch
• 10 Drive bays: (7) 5.25” external and (4) 3.5” Internal
• Three 120mm and one 200mm cooling fans included
• Additional locations for three more 120mm fans
• Dust filters on bottom and side intake fans
• Active cooling on 4-in-3 HDD cage
• Good airflow and case ventilation
• Very easy to install even a large power supply
• Built-in carrying handles

The
Cosmos S gave us plenty of room to build a system that can survive
today’s hottest processors and video cards thanks to perforation
everywhere and the 200mm fan did a really good job of delivering air
where we need it. If water cooling is your forte then the Cosmos S
gives you the room to make it happen, I can’t wait to see what the
modders come up with for the 3x 120mm fan area along the top of the
case, be it external or internal.
The
first Cosmos S was all about powerful computing while staying quiet but
the Sport version removes all of the sound dampening material that we
really liked and replaced it with a cooler environment.
Overall,
the Cosmos S is a solid case that I would recommend to any power user.
The handles on the top make the case easy to transport even after it is
loaded down. You will need this for LAN party transportation since a
full system in the Cosmos S will weigh in around sixty pounds without
water cooling.
Pros:
Well built
Good Cooling Options
Great Design, stylish
Handles for easy carrying

Cooler
Master may have the best locking mechanisms when it comes to securing
drives or accessories in your computer case, it is just a simple matter
of pushing the blue button to allow the device to be placed into the
opening and then by releasing the button the device will be locked into
place.
The
Cooler Master Cosmos S has a number of improvements over the original
version of this enclosure and I am glad to see Cooler Master has gone
to 100% aluminum construction which makes the case far more manageable
and easier to move from place to place.
Please note the Aquagate Max was used in this case as well.

As I said before, Cooler Master never leaves anything at "good enough", with each new case they are
constantly refining and improving to make the best product available to
the consumer. I am extremely impressed with the Cosmos S case and would
not hesitate to recommend it to anyone in the market for a full sized
chassis.
The
Cosmos S provides the ultimate in features and function without
sacrificing form. While your friends might think you bought this case
only because it looks cool, you know you got it because it offers
features and expandability that no other case has.

Cooler Master has done it again with the Cosmos S case, they have
brought a great looking case, with a simplistic design with excellent
build quality, to the market that is also able to keep the temperatures
down. Cooler Master took a look at the Cosmos 1000 case and improved on
it and added the features to make the case better and released it as
the Cosmos S case, which worked very well. The temperatures inside the
case were significantly lower than the temperatures in the Cosmos 1000
case, while not increasing the noise output from the included fans. The
large fan on the side is a great idea and a great feature, however when
using the large Thermalright Ultra 120-Extreme CPU cooling solution,
you are unable to use the large side fan, as there is not enough room.
Even with out the fan being used in the testing, the temperatures were
able to stay in a very good range. I like how Cooler Master reworked
the hard drive
cage in this case and not using the "drawer-style" cage which did not
work very well with the Cosmos 1000. I will be using the Cooler Master
Cosmos S computer case to house my components, as I was very impressed.
Pros:
- Simplistic & sleek design
- Tool-free features
- Carrying handles
- Build quality
- Low noise output fans
- Temperatures
- Large side fan
