The best quality I found with the Cosmos was its silent operation. I
thought with seven 120mm fans it was going to sound like a wind tunnel
when I turned it on. But, I was absolutely flabbergasted by the low hum
I heard from the Cosmos. I guess those solid steel panels with
soundproofing material really work. I was also impressed by the case’s
tool less design and easy-to-mount hard drive cages. This should make hot-swapping drives a piece of cake.
Overall, we give the Cosmos our Pro-Clockers Seal of Approval, and hope
its next revision is much lighter and comes with an optional robot to
transport it for us. Seriously folks, it’s really that heavy. =)

Master and enjoyed a near tool-free installation of the entire system. The
system was not totally silent since I use a video board with a vacuum cleaner
motor attached, but the noise levels were a good deal less than I have become
accustomed to. This is certainly something that I could get used to very
quickly. Cooling was ample and I had no overheating issues with any system
components, but I still believe that there needs to be some sort of active
cooling in place for the hard drive tower.</span></strong><b><span style=\"color: black;\"><br>

neighborhood of $200US for the COSMOS 1000 enclosure. While that may seem a bit
steep, a quick search of similarly equipped full tower cases with six HDD bays
and solid cooling shows that other contenders are running at about $100 more,
so value is not out of line at all. Cooler Master seems to have done a good

Roomy interior; good attention to detail; attractive,
but not too flashy; built with quiet computing in mind.
Summary:
Sometimes you just need a large case, whether it's for a workstation, departmental server or
fire-breathing, dual-graphics card gaming rig. If so, then the Cooler Master
Cosmos 1000 looks good, is easy to work with and tries to keep a little
quieter. It's well worth the price.

The exterior of the
Cosmos 1000 is impressive with its brushed aluminum finish, array of top
connections and by filtering just about every air intake that the case
has. That last point shouldn't
be overlooked as anyone that has pets or kids can tell you cleaning out your PC
is an important and sometimes disturbing task!
The interior is well laid out and provides ample room to work in during
the construction of the system all without a bunch of sharp edge to slice your
fingers on. Hurrah! Not only that, but very few items in the Cosmos
1000 will require the use of tools as Cooler Master has opted for thumb screws
in pretty much every location that they make sense in.
The performance of the Cosmos 1000 is impressive as well as the case is
able to move enough air to keep the case temperatures low while maintaining a
level of noise that is much lower than the standard.

If
you looked around the net at various forums I think it goes without
saying that CoolerMaster's Cosmos 1000 generated some buzz when it was
first revealed earlier this year. I have to say they have hit right on
a lot of marks with this case. While no case will ever appeal to
everyone, I think the Cosmos 1000 has a broad appeal with its styling.
The steel construction obviously increases weight, but this also helps
to prevent vibrational noise in the chassis. Overall the quality is
superb, but it is the little things that keep me talking about this
case to friends. From push button 5.25" installation, cable management and side panels released by levers, the Cosmos was built with
ease of use in mind. The sound dampening material on the side panels is
a nice touch and the panels fit together very securely, leaving no room
for noise or vibration.

what an amazing case this Cosmos is. The case is absolutely quiet
though and you do not hear it running even at full load. I was very
impressed with the ergonomics and design of the case, it is in many
ways outside the box mentality and unique among cases. One thing that
really perplexes me is how some sites do a case review without ever
actually building a system in it. How do you do that? Most of the
actual review comes from working with the case and using it in a system
build. If you do not build a system in the case the review is just a
bunch of speculation on how it should be, not actually what it is..

If you are in the
market for a new edition to your home or a place to stick your mother
in-law for the upcoming holidays, then the Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 is what you need. The design style is sleek, but has an unequivocally
macho feel to it. The aluminum panels have a brushed texture to them,
adding to the overall appeal. The bezel door also has this brushed
texture, but its most notable feature is the ability to reverse the
direction it can open. The upper grab bars are tough and strong and
will be able to take the abuse of moving the enclosure around - I just
don't think your back will be able to keep up with it. The lower bars,
which are the same as the uppers are used as the feet for the Cosmos 1000,
along with the sheer size and weight of the enclosure may damage the
surface of a desk or even hardwood floor; on carpet, however,
everything should be fine.
The gear was
extremely easy to install, and this was enhanced by the ease with which
the panels come off. I like the simple lever release, and how the
panels separate from the main frame of the enclosure. The server-style
racks for the hard drives is a nice touch, but what is more important
to me is how the wiring is run behind the drive cage against the right
panel. I like to route all the cables as neatly as possible, so this is
a definite plus for me.
