"The LapAir is the most comfortable lap-based cooler I have used.  The soft padding is very comfortable, and conforms well, adding an ergonomic factor, yet it’s not so squishy that the base is unstable.  The single cooling fan is very quiet, and vents a cool air uniformly under the notebook, keeping the surface of the computer noticeable cooler.  The built-in cable management is very neat, and the storage slot for the USB connector makes streamlining for travel a breeze."

"Price for the unit is about $30 USD. So its priced fair for the value you get. As for transportation of it. I just put it in my laptop bag with my Dell laptop didn’t add much weight. The only thing I would like to see would have been maybe USB hub built into future units. But after everything accounted for I’d give the Coolermaster Lapair a 4 out of 5."

"Once in your favorite computing location you can have a bit more comfort while cooling down your laptop and keeping the heat off of your legs. This is a laptop cooler that fits a very narrow and specific niche.  I would not recommend it if you are looking for something ultra-quiet and/or ultra-portable.  I would recommend it though if you find yourself working in long stretches on a laptop without a desk."

"I found the Cooler Master NotePal LapAir to be a very comfortable laptop cooler for the natural laptop location, your lap. It's comfortable, easily cleaned, and large enough to fit most laptops on the market. Although it's a little loud, it makes extra cooling available when you need it, and during the rest of the time it can just be used as a comfortable passive cooling device and lap desk."

"In general, I like this product. I would have preferred if there were a smaller version, though, since anyone with a 14-inch or smaller notebook probably doesn’t want something quite this large. It would take up a fair bit of room in a briefcase or backpack, after all."

"At the end of the day, I'm actually impressed at how much airflow the little fan can produce, and at the same time, it's also not annoyingly loud. The buzzing noise that comes with the fan is not something to be overly concerned about -- unless you use your laptop in a dead silent room. Carrying a price tag of $29.99 USD at press time, the Cooler Master NotePal LapAir certainly offers good value. In the event you need a cooler to use on your lap, this one will certainly get the job done."

"The Cooler Master LapAir does exactly what it's supposed to do - cool down your laptop.  I use my T410 as my main workstation and it sits in a pretty fancy dock that allows me a bunch of extra USB connections, eSATA ports, 2 Display Ports, 2 DVI ports and a lot more."

"The LapAir is a great idea and provides good cooling while using your laptop for general purpose activities. If you are gaming on your laptop and already have no issues with overheating, then simply adding it to the mixed is also a great idea to make sure your laptop has a long life."

"The Cooler Master NotePal LapAir looks great with its all-black finish. The comfortable sponge pad on the bottom makes long term use a viable option. Having the capability to hold any laptop up to 17? makes the LapAir a strong presence in the full-sized gaming notebook user space."

"Overall, the Cooler Master Notepal LapAir Notebook Cooler is a very good buy. There is all of the performance that you would expect from a Cooler Master product. Features like the USB power, pass through connector, and cable grooves keep it portable. The biggest bonus is the sponge mat for lap comfort, which is why it was dubbed the LapAir."
