"After transplanting my current system to the Cooler HAF XM Mid Tower Case, I fell in love accomplishing a nice clean up. In comparison to the CMSTORM Trooper, it is much lighter but doesn't have a convenient handle to lug around, so, it's back to traditional back breaking. I really have to say, Cable Management is the most perfect and peaceful activity for the installation for the HAF XM but I really wish it was a Full Tower. As large as the capacity comes, there is plenty of space to upgrade to larger capacity drives and adding performance drives in the future."

"The smaller version of the HAF X held its own very well. The HAF XM has enough great features to warrant the $129.99 price tag. The two X-Dock slots placed in the front panel given them the option to be hidden while in use, which is a good thing, because this will keep them from getting broken in some freak accident. The latch on the side panel is a nice addition and gives it an little different look to help make it stand out. With the addition of the two USB 3.0 connections that are internal, the HAF XM is ready to stay up-to-date with peripherals for a long time.The wire management solution installed is very good, especially with the PSU cover that helps hide wires from view, making the installation look even cleaner! This was a very cool idea implemented into the HAF XM by Cooler Master. The almost all tool-free installation helped make the installation quick and easy. In case you are an upgrade junky, this will help you get in and out of your case in no time at all. The dist filters are not the best, but good enough to keep a lot of the dust from infiltrating your system."

"As we mentioned before, once you get past the looks the HAF XM is a solid mid-tower for gaming, workstations and pretty much any other system that needs room, expandability and good airflow. During our build with the Medusa like UCP 1100 we were more than amazed at how quickly the HAF XM tamed the cables that we did not need and being able to tame that mess can be half the battle when it comes to keeping up airflow. The multiple pass-through ports in the backplane allowed us to quickly and easily run things along the back (and out of the way). This will give you the chance to build a very clean and unobstructed system into the HAF XM. On the downside, no one will be able to see how clean it is as there is no window (again for cost here). Overall Cooler Master has a good offering in the mid-$100 price point in the HAF XM. You are going to get items and options that you would be hard pressed to find in many cases that cost more. "

"The Cooler Master HAF XM could be the ideal case for gaming on a moderate budget. With ease the case will hold any of today’s gaming video cards as well as numerous drives and we can forget about support for eATX motherboards. These three things is what makes up most of the components of a gaming system.
When considering a case to build upon, it usually begins with looks as we don’t want to be looking at a case all day they we did not like. And the CM HAX XM is really not a bad looking case. Are there better looking towers out there? Sure there are. But we do like the fact that the HAF XM offers a more subtle look than the rest of the HAF line-up. This helps the XM to crossover to other realms and not just for building a gaming rig.
As far as cooling is concerned we thought out of the box the fans that are included was adequate. A rear 140mm and two more 200mm fans in the top and front allows a fair amount of air to enter and enough pushing tower to allow generated warm air to escape. Additional sizes ranging from 120mm to 200mm can be implemented into the case for those that want more cooling and air movement. Even water cooling can be added to the equation. With a little creativity dual and triple rads can be XM for even better CPU and GPU cooling."

What I find even more impressive is they have managed to fill the gap between the budget cases and the ultra-high end cases that we all drool after. The HAF XM can literally fit almost anything you throw at it, all the while having some of the easiest wire management we have ever seen because of the gargantuan amount of space behind the motherboard tray. You even end up with built in hot swap bays, support for USB 3.0, and full dust filter coverage to keep everything clean inside. What is most impressive is the HAF XM’s price, considering its feature set I would have expected it to be higher, but with a MSRP of $129 it should still be in the budget of most builds. "
