"All in all I was once again impressed with the Trigger. The addition of green keyswitches just helps it stand out even more in a very crowded market. Once again, Cooler Master is showing that they are all in when it comes to the keyboard market. "

"Comfort, agility, accuracy, software, illumination of keys, and customization are all a part of the CM Storm Trigger package. CM Storm Trigger has what the rest of the CM Storm line does: value, design craftsmanship, and performance.

For gaming, Trigger is now our go to keyboard. The Cherry Blue MX switches are accurate and don’t add any fatigue over long periods of use. The 6 key anti-ghosting rollover, 1000Hz driverless polling/1ms response time, 5 macro keys, and so on, give Trigger added valuable features.  "

"Overall I really like the new green switches. The CM Storm Trigger is still the beast of a keyboard it was, but I'd highly recommend the change in switches . The greens aren't for everyone, but if you like a really aggressive feel to both your typing and gaming, this is the keyboard for you."

"One of the things i like about Cooler Master in general is that they don't over-price their products (aside a few exceptions) and luckily for consumers the same applies for CM STORM since the TRIGGER with Cherry MX Red Switches is currently being sold for USD94.99 inside the USA (Amazon) and at around 110Euros inside the EU. Now the reason we specify that this is the price for the TRIGGER with Cherry MX Red switches (SGK-6000-GKCR1) is because the Cherry MX Black and Brown variants cost quite a bit more (around USD20/20Euros) while the Cherry MX Blue variant costs just a tad less (around USD10/10Euros). Overall CM STORM has designed and manufactured a very sturdy mechanical keyboard and although not perfect it does come with a very good price/quality/performance ratio and that's why it gets our Golden Award. "

"This is another top notch product brought to us by Cooler Master.  Some of its minor issues may be annoying at times but the good things help you forget and rest assured there are a lot of good things about this keyboard.  It boasts a strong durable physeek so that the last thing you would think of when you hear the name “Trigger” is fragile.

It may lack a bit in some areas of functionality but it makes up for that with overall quality and reasonable price.  If you asked me whether it is worth buying I would say “yes.”"

      "

Despite some shortcomings in the CM Storm Trigger software and macro performance, the Trigger is still generally an excellent mechanical gaming keyboard, matching and slightly beating my long-time favorite Razer Black Widow Ultimate in some areas and lagging in others.

All in all it's a viable alternative to the Razer BlackWidow, and if Coolermaster fixes the keystroke macro playback issue I would potentially recommend it over the BlackWidow. Until then it's still a pretty close race between the two and both are worth considering."

"Overall I’m quite impressed with the CM Storm Trigger mechanical keyboard; the design is straight forward even if the software can be a tad cumbersome. Once you have used a mechanical keyboard, there is no going back to a regular keyboard. The differences are just too great, typing is better, faster and gaming is so much better as you get a feel with your keyboard it’s terribly hard to describe though — it’s just no comparison."

"The Storm Trigger is a functional, albeit quirky peripheral that may look oversized and oddly configured and yet ultimately provides a great gaming experience. Granted, there are higher end keyboards out there and even less expensive ones that seem to offer similar features but very few offer the combination of price and performance that Cooler Master has on tap. "Overall I'm quite impressed with the CM Trigger mechanical keyboard. I will be honest and say I couldn't really handle the clickly clacky noise after a week and promptly bought some O-rings to quiet it down. This is something any of you who can't stand the noise can do to reduce that while still getting the great feel of a mechanical keyboard. With or without the O-rings the keyboard is still worth getting your hands on. The price is a little high, but it is something I would fork the change over to have. Although this BluePanda would prefer her keys to light up in blue this is well worth taking the red for. I really like the way it feels, the way it looks and the great interaction between user and product; I feel I have full control. Take my word for it – this is a BluePanda Gold, go find one for yourself."

"The CM Storm Trigger was no doubt one of the best keyboards that we've had the pleasure of reviewing. If you are in the market for a high end gaming keybaord that is comfortable, durable, and nice to look at, the Trigger is most likely to be your best bet. Though it's not the cheapest on the market, with the price that you pay and the quality you get, this keyboard is worth every penny. The keys have a nice feel overall and the backlights are very bright and can be easily controlled."

"The Cooler Master CMStorm Trigger is one impressive mechanical keyboard. For $120 you are getting features that are not available in keyboards costing as much as $50 more. The options that you have with it when you combine the Trigger with the Trigger App are very cool. When we first grabbed the software we spent a few hours playing around with just the macro studio to see what we were able to do and how we could apply those macros to the games we typically play. The fact that you can get the Trigger with the Cherry MX keys you want is also a plus. The test unit sent to us had the Cherry MX brown switches, but you can get this with blue, red or black keys as well. In terms of usage the Trigger is also one of the best day to day keyboards that we have tinkered with as it offers a great deal of flexibility when it comes to setting your keyboard options the way you want them (nothing like building Macros for Photoshop or office).  Of course the Trigger was designed for gamers and it does a great job there as well. You would not be making a bad choice by picking up one of these for gaming or simply for regular use. "

"The Trigger is a great gaming keyboard; the design is straight forward even if the software can be a tad cumbersome. A responsive (response time) keyboard for gaming, or another scenario where macros are beneficial (Image editing, Video editing) the Trigger may be for you. If you are a mobile gamer, or will potentially be using the Trigger on the go, as mentioned earlier you should consider another Cherry Brown keyboard such as the CM Storm: Quickfire Pro. Also keep in mind the brown switches on the trigger are quite responsive, if you are on a membrane keyboard and looking to move to a keyboard with more weight to the keystrokes the Trigger is a great choice."

"After testing the office productivity and smooth game play experience, I love the fact that it came with an add on wrist rest pad for support with a high quality product feel to it. The CMStorm Trigger will provide me equality and security playing against other macro players, when needed. The fact that I am able to load and Trigger multiple Macro scripts to profiles is very convenient for game play or switching games, there are plenty of Macro scripts for every any game out there. The adjustable red LED backlight compliments the CMStorm product line including the Cherry MX Brown Switches, so we don't have to worry about sequential or rough key stroking because it is made to last around 50 million stokes. The cost for the CMStorm Trigger is $119.99 which is perfect for a flagship product that includes locked and loaded features. Pulling the CMStorm Trigger is highly recommended to anyone that games on! "

"this can be adjusted in the bundled application, where you can re-map the keys, assign macros, and manage different profiles. Another neat feature is the included media control keys, one a lot of gaming keyboards neglect. With this you’re able to control your iTunes, or Spotify, player in or out of your game.

I used the CM Storm Trigger alongside the CM Storm Sentinel Advance II mouse, a 1-2 combo I cannot recommend enough."

"Overall, for a dedicated gamer or anyone who makes enough use to benefit from a good keyboard, the hefty $120 price tag might not be too hard to justify.  For many, however, the price is going to be prohibitive.  However, Cooler Master has a fairly logical and well-developed family of mechanical gaming keyboards, with their Quickfire Rapid at a much more attainable $80 MSRP.  However, when comparing to other mechanical gaming keyboards with the same featureset, the Trigger is very competitively priced.  The LED-equipped Tesoro Durandal, which we very much liked, had us shaking our heads at its $169.99 price tag, with essentially the same featureset as the Trigger."

"Keyboard feel is very subjective but the Trigger feels solid and provides a quick response without the need for a full press.  This buys precious time for serious gamers by shaving critical milliseconds off response times.  Heavy typists may want to seek out the Cherry switches with a more solid response like the black switches.  Overall the CM Storm Trigger feels solid and inspires confidence in its quick predictable response.  What more can you ask for in a gaming keyboard?"

"With features like the onboard memory to store your profiles on the fly and on the fly Macro recording you hardly need to use the include software. But if/when you do, you will be be able to remap any and every key on the keyboard to your liking. This is well above and beyond what you find on most keyboards. When you put it all together we have a premium mechanical keyboard that is packed full of functional features. I know in the future the Trigger is going to get a lot of use, especially for late night gaming with its full backlit keys."
